Thomas Dorsett serves as Director of Development, overseeing Madison’s multifamily development activities across North Carolina and Virginia. He is responsible for managing projects from site selection through design, construction, and final delivery.
Thomas joined Madison Capital in 2021, initially focusing on multifamily investments before transitioning to development. Prior to joining Madison, Thomas served on the investments team for LMC (now Quarterra), where he supported debt and equity capital markets, as well as portfolio management and investor relations for two build-to-core funds with more than $3.5 billion in equity commitments. Earlier in his career, Thomas worked at Regions Bank in their Real Estate Capital Markets division focusing on the origination of FNMA, CMBS, and HUD loans with a particular emphasis on assets in the multifamily and healthcare & seniors housing sectors where he contributed to the successful origination of over $400 million in Fannie Mae DUS loans.
Thomas holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
