Matt joined Madison in 2022. Previously Matt with the SVP of Development for MAA (Mid America) 2016 following the merger with Post Properties, Inc. Matt lead the team’s efforts in the eastern region where he has been responsible for the development of over 2,600 apartment homes. Prior to joining Post in 2013, he was Senior Vice President at Novare Group, a vertical, mixed-use developer, where he was involved in developing over 2,000 residential units over an eight-year period. Matt began his career with the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, where he worked for five years, ultimately becoming the youngest competition Venue Manager, responsible for the design, planning, and execution of the 16-day Olympic Volleyball tournament at the Omni Coliseum. Matt brings with him nearly 30 years of experience in project coordination, strategic planning and development.
Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1992 with a Bachelor’s degree and from Emory’s Goizueta Business School in 1999 with a Master’s in Business Administration. He is a member of the board of directors for Central Atlanta Progress and a former member of the Downtown Market Study Technical Advisory Group and was on the ULI Livable Communities Council from 2013-2015.
