Joshua Hamby serves as Executive Managing Director at Madison Commercial, the retail and mixed-use development platform of Madison Capital Group Holdings. In this role, he leads the sourcing, structuring and execution of development opportunities across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, with a focus on scaling retail and net-lease platforms, including the firm’s Fresh Stop and Links Car Wash brands.
Hamby brings more than a decade of experience in retail real estate development, with a track record spanning more than $1 billion in projects across over 40 states. His expertise covers the full development lifecycle, including site selection, underwriting, entitlement strategy, consultant coordination, construction management and disposition planning. He has worked extensively with national retailers, capital partners and municipalities to deliver complex, tenant-driven projects.
Prior to joining Madison Commercial, Hamby held leadership roles at Hutton, Woodhaven Development Group and Schaffer Construction, where he led site sourcing, development execution and client expansion initiatives for large-scale retail and convenience store programs. Known for his disciplined approach and ability to identify scalable opportunities, Hamby plays a key role in advancing Madison Commercial’s retail growth strategy across high-growth markets.
