Madison Capital Group, LLC (“MCG”) is pleased to announce the closing of a two property self-storage acquisition in McKinney, TX in the Dallas-Fort Worth MSA. The transaction adds 172,149 rentable square feet to the existing Go Store It (“GSI”) portfolio and will increase scale in an existing target market. These will be the 5th and 6th facilities in the state of TX and will join an existing network of 63 self-storage facilities across the United States. The acquisition pipeline remains robust and the management team will continue to focus on increasing scale in target markets.
The acquisition will be funded through a joint venture with an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. (“Cerberus”). Since the inception of the joint venture in July 2020, GSI and Cerberus have closed on 20 operating self-storage assets totaling approximately 12,000 units and 1.5mm rentable square feet.
