Madison Capital Group Acquires Two Vacant Sears Boxes in Savannah and Boise

Madison Capital Group, LLC has recently purchased 2 vacant Sears boxes located in high growth markets. Madison has been purchasing empty retail boxes for a variety of uses that include self-storage conversions and the re development to a multifamily and retail use. The two recent acquisitions are located adjacent to active Malls, the Boise Town Square in Boise, ID, and the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah, GA.

The Charlotte-based development company has plans to re develop each box into a mixed-use development that could include residential housing and retail.

Madison has a robust pipeline of other boxes throughout the Country with plans for conversion or re development.

Madison Capital Group acquires land in Jacksonville for 280 Apartment units.

Madison Capital Group, LLC has purchased approximately 11 acres in St Johns, FL. The project sits adjacent to Ascension St. Vincent’s $115M newest hospital. The CR 210 corridor is the gateway to the award winning Nocatee master-planned community and Beachwalk which collectively has delivered thousands of luxury homes, over a million sf of new retail amenities, a 14-acre Crystal Lagoon, among many other attractive uses. The submarket boasts strong demographics, exceptional in-migration patterns (more accelerated as a result of COVID), and convenient access to downtown Jacksonville.

The Charlotte-based multifamily company will develop a 280-unit apartment complex called Madison Nocatee. The project will feature four-story buildings and clubhouse. Amenities will include a two-story clubhouse, fitness facility, swimming pool and clubroom.

Construction on the project is expected to commence in 2021.

This is the first development in the Jacksonville area for MCG. The company currently has similar projects under construction in The Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee and Florida. Madison currently has 5 other active deals in Florida, located in Orlando, Tampa, and Bonita Springs.

Go Store It Acquires New Facility in Clermont, FL

Go Store It has recently acquired an institutional quality self-storage located in Clermont, FL a growing suburb of Orlando. This will be Go Store It’s fifth location in the Florida.

The Vault features 474 units and 60,000 net rentable square feet. It also features an ample amount of parking for cars, Boats, and RV’s. There is also a planned expansion for the facility.

“This acquisition presents a unique opportunity for Go Store It and gives us more scale in a target market. There is a big demand for quality storage and Clermont features high barriers to entry. We look forward to continuing to expand in Central Florida” said Ryan Hanks, CEO of Go Store It.

The property was acquired as part of a Joint Venture with Cerberus Capital Management. This is the Joint Venture’s third acquisition in Florida.
